Express Entry 168th Draw November 25, 2020

Express Entry 168th Draw November 25, 2020

In the All-program Express Entry draw held on November 25, 2020, a total of 5,000 candidates from the Express Entry pool received their Invitation To Apply (ITAs) letter. The minimum CRS score of the lowest-ranked candidate invited by IRCC was 469, 3 points lower than the previous invitation round on November 18, 2020.

IRCC ranks candidates in the Express Entry pool using a point-based system known as the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) which is calculated based on human capital factors such as age, education, work experience, and language ability in English or French.

Language contributes up to 200 points to the CRS Score, out of which bilingual Francophones have an absolute advantage of 74 points at the start which is an excellent opportunity for bilingual candidates. The highest-ranking candidates are then selected from the pool and invited to apply for permanent residence.

Usually, a tie-breaking rule is applied in case of a tie between candidates. For this draw, those who submitted their profile before October 15, 2020, at 08:50:10 UTC were invited. If more than one candidate has the lowest score, the cut-off is based on the date and time they submitted their Express Entry profiles.

Express Entry candidates with a provincial nomination receive an additional 600 points towards their CRS score, which explains the higher cut-off score.
